Insights into oncology learning programmes and their impact on clinical practice and patient care.
Oncology is one of the most complex and rapidly advancing areas of medicine, demanding continuous learning from healthcare professionals. But how effective is oncology education in keeping pace with this change?
nuaxia analysed extensive behavioural data from oncology-focused educational activities to evaluate how learning interventions support knowledge and competence development.
Through sophisticated data science methods, nuaxia measured changes in learning outcomes across oncology education programmes.
This analysis provides evidence-based insights into the effectiveness of oncology education, highlighting its role in supporting informed clinical decision-making.

Key Findings at a Glance
92% of Participants Improved Their Scores
With 92% of participants showing measurable improvements, these results demonstrate the clear impact of our educational programmes on HCP performance.
70% of Participants Moved Up One or More Score Groups
Through data clustering into four distinct groups (Low, Average, High, and Top), we tracked significant upward movement:
70% improved
26% remained stable
Only 4% saw a decrease
These findings highlight how well-designed CME meets learners where they are and guides them toward higher competence.
33% Achieved the Top Score After Medical Education Activity
Importantly, a third of participants progressed to the top performance group, highlighting the role of CME in enabling HCPs to achieve higher levels of performance.
Score Distribution: Before vs. After
Baseline Scores: Most participants began in the Average (45.7%) or High (33.9%) categories.
Post-Activity Scores: The distribution shifted significantly, with most participants now in the High (48.5%) or Top (32.7%) categories.
The data confirms that meaningful education in healthcare doesn’t just inform, it shapes practice.
Why These Results Matter
In an era where evidence-based practice is critical, these results provide compelling proof that targeted, high-quality medical education can:
Close knowledge gaps
Elevate clinical competence
Drive behavioural change
The impact extends beyond healthcare professionals, enhancing care for patients around the globe.
Our Methodology
The analysis was based on:
180 educational activities
8 individual therapeutic areas
Participants with at least 3 data points at both baseline and post-activity
Clustering was done using silhouette scoring, which optimises groupings for analytical clarity. This ensures that the insights gained are both scientifically valid and actionable.
Looking Ahead
These insights reinforce the value of data-driven decision-making in medical education. If you're planning a new CME programme or want to measure the impact of your current educational initiatives, nuaxia’s database and analytics capabilities can help you deliver outcomes that matter.
